Yoga for Meditation

In a supportive and warm environment, we encourage you to bring a kindly awareness to your yoga practice. We cultivate mindfulness of our sensations, breath, movement, body, emotions and mental states. The practice may be experienced as meditative, with a sense of connectedness to oneself, as well as the physical benefits of increasing strength and flexibility. The style of yoga we teach is based on Hatha, and the Friday evening class is Restorative yoga. Our teachers also bring their own individual experiences of movement, meditation, Buddhist practice and occasional poetry readings to the classes.

All regular classes are Open Level, we also offer courses aimed at beginners and those wanting to deepen their practice.

Testimonials

"The moment I came on a mat I felt like I came home, I was able to connect to the inner part of myself. I felt at home with myself, with things I was struggling with. I did not expect miracles but as I practised yoga, I improved and changed one breath at the time."

"I have been coming to the yoga classes for years and always leave feeling that the world's edges are softer, that I love people that little bit more and that life in general holds more joy and peace."

“I am always treated with such love, kindness and respect. With no judgement nor expectations...Thank you for breathtakingly beautiful yoga classes”

"It is hard to find words to express how grateful I am to everyone at the London Buddhist Centre."
