PoetryEast with Poet Laureate Simon Armitage

Simon Armitage CBE, FRSL is a poet, playwright, musician, broadcaster, and novelist. He was selected to serve as Professor of Poetry at the University of Oxford (2015 – 2019) and received the Queen's Gold Medal for Poetry in 2018 and is Poet Laureate of the United Kingdom. Simon has written over 20 collections of poetry and translated such classic poems as Sir Gawain and the Green Knight and The Death of King Arthur.

PoetryEast with Sasha Dugdale

Sasha Dugdale is a poet and translator. She has published five collections with Carcanet. Deformations, her most recent collection, was shortlisted for the 2020 TS Eliot and Derek Walcott Prizes. Joy (2017) was a Poetry Book Society Choice and the title poem was awarded the Forward Prize for Best Single Poem of 2016.
